During Easter week, you can become part of our elite teams, which for the first time will participate in one of Europe’s top tournaments for youth teams in the summer Costa Brava. Where no one before took the steps towards becoming the world’s best footballer.
The Mediterranean International Cup, or simply shortened down to MIC, will be played in 2023 for the 21st time. The traditional tournament brings together teams from 44 different countries, maintains a very high top level, where the best international youth teams compete against each other in Girona. A city in northern Catalonia, close to Barcelona, and not least part of the popular tourist destination Costa Brava.
NF Elite Selection MIC Football is therefore an excellent program to combine with a family holiday as the Easter holiday starts in Norway.

Following in Messi’s footsteps
This solid international tournament brings together the academy teams of a number of Europe’s top clubs, with Real Madrid, FC Bayern Münich, PSG and Manchester City being a small selection of opponents you can face as a featured player in our crew.
World stars like Lionel Messi have previously been found among the players and now you have the chance to follow in the footsteps of the new Argentine world champion.
We are looking for players who hold a high national level. Most of the players will be invited on the basis of outstanding performances under previous programs, but we also have a few spots available for those who want to apply.
MIC Barcelona is the program where NF Academy wants to test the best players that have been working with us in the last years. In a tournament known by hosting the best youth academies in the world in a charismatic city as Barcelona, it’s an honor to NF Academy to be able to provide such an impactful stimulus to our community of players and also parents
Spanish Dream Easter
NF Academy fielded elite teams in the U13, U15 and U16 classes. Nearly 900 matches will be played on 46 grass and artificial turf pitches. All tracks are located in or around Girona and are easily accessible by car or bus.
Between matches, or after the tournament, you and your family can live the beach life on the Mediterranean or be a tourist in Barcelona.
In other words, a fantastic Easter in the sun, both on and off the football field, is on fire.
The goal of the program
Our main goal with NF Elite Selection is to give the best players in the NF Academy system an arena, where you can train with players who are at a very high level, and get international match references against some of the best youth teams in Europe. On our elite teams, we have had several players who have reached age-specific national teams.
Our experience indicates that this is an optimal program for players, who want to be well prepared for national team withdrawals and auditions with professional clubs.
While the competition gets more challenging, NF Academy players should know exactly what we mean when we talk about success: Do your best and fulfill your own potential. If this is enough for the Selection Teams to win that’s incredible but we are more focused on creating the best experience of their lives and share this culture of work ethic, passion and respect for everyone.
That’s the reason so many parents and families trust us, tells sports manager Gonçalo Moura.
The teams are led by our professional and experienced Portuguese coaches, who will give the players concrete feedback and development points to take the next level. All players will also receive an evaluation report that will provide direction for further training work.
