Costa Daurada is NF Academy’s newest venture into international quality tournaments, where elite teams for both girls and boys travel to summer-beautiful Salou during Easter week.
It is the first time the renowned academy has sent some of its greatest talents to the Easter edition of the Costa Daurada cup along the sunny beaches south of Barcelona.
One of the most prestigious youth tournaments at this time of year is also located in one of the coolest football facilities in Europe.
Based on performances and development through our other programmes, selected players get the chance to get international references against some of Europe’s biggest clubs. There are a few spots available for talented players who want to play on one of our teams. It is also new that we participate with girls-only teams, says NF Academy sports director Gonçalo Moura.

Modern holiday resort
From 23 to 28 March, the international tournament will be held in the holiday paradise of Salou. Just south of Barcelona lies the city of around 20,000 inhabitants, which in recent years has invested heavily in sports tourism.
Here is located CE Futbol Salou, which is one of the most modern and best football facilities in Spain and Europe. Here are a number of UEFA and FIFA-standardised artificial turf pitches as well as both natural grass pitches and hybrid pitches located less than 1 kilometre from accommodation facilities within walking distance to the beach. In the same area there are also several amusement parks.
The Costa Daurada Cup thus provides unique opportunities for player development, recovery and fun for the whole family.
We have also put in an extra day ahead of the tournament for training sessions and getting to know the players better. We also have a partnership with Sporting CP, who will contribute some players to the girls’ teams. In addition, trainers from the world-renowned academy will be with us in Salou, concludes sports director of the NF Academy, Gonçalo Moura.
Salou has a fantastic seafront from the centre of town down to the neighbouring town to the south, Cambrils. There is a rich selection of shops and restaurants, and of course easy access to sunny beaches.
If the golden sands of Costa Daurada aren’t your thing, there are several other local attractions to suit all tastes.
A trip to the Nou Camp to see Barcelona is of course high on the to-do list for many, but the amusement park Port Aventura Theme Park, the water park Caribe Aquatic Park or the historic masterpieces Sagrada Familia and Gotic Quarter are also worth some attention of the extra-sporting.
Football party
NF Academy will participate with several boys’ teams and pure girls’ teams during the Costa Daurada Cup this Easter. It will be another fantastic football tournament with a high international average for the young, dedicated and promising players from the academy’s ranks.
Good player development, international references and a lot of playing time are, as usual, high priorities. It also happens that NF Academy tops the tournaments they participate in. In other words, there are major sporting upsides to participating.
In addition, you can combine the tournament with both city and beach life so that the whole family can get the most out of their stay.
