The Value of Portuguese Training Methodology
Participants train according to the Portuguese success formula – a balance between discipline and creativity. Exercises simulate match situations and pressure challenges to develop both technical skills and decision-making strength.
Coaches and Training Facilities
- UEFA-certified Portuguese coaches with backgrounds from top academies like Sporting CP and Benfica lead the sessions
- Two training sessions at Sporting’s Academy facilities with their own coaches
- Match against Sporting CP’s youth academy
- A professional learning environment throughout the week
Involving Parents and Coaches
During the stay, parents are offered a free educational session where training goals, methodology, and strategies are explained directly by the coaches. This gives better insight and support at home.
During training sessions, parents can follow the players and coaches on the field. The exercises, main objectives and strategy will be explained. The coaches will share their knowledge and answer questions along the way.
It’s important for us that parents understand what and why we work the way we do on the field in combat situations, said NF Academy coaches
International Experience & Scouting Opportunities
Through the program, players gain references that can open doors to further international programs, including potential selection for elite teams, tournaments, and academies in Portugal.
The players are evaluated by our coaches and can qualify further for new international opportunities and programs in 2026. The training sessions in Sporting’s academy as well as the matches against their youth team can provide opportunities for further training with the club.
At the same time, it is interesting to see the level our players hold measured by Sporting’s players. It provides important international references in what each player needs to work on in order to take their next step in their development, said NF Academy coaches
