Through a brilliant 2023, NF Academy has strengthened its position as a player developer both nationally and internationally. We can only look forward to all the young players seeking development for the new football year that is once here.
NF Academy garnered international recognition for its talent work, and fine words for an attractive way to play football during tournaments out in Europe in 2023.
More than 600 young and dedicated players have attended the academy’s programme. Several of them have been selected for play in tournaments in Spain, Germany, Portugal, Latvia and Sweden. It has provided international references, and silverware in the trophy cabinet for a couple of the teams.
Sporting director Gonçalo Moura is thinking about development. He is pleased that more and more people are becoming aware of the work his experienced coaching staff puts into the field both Norway and abroad.
We have already had so much demand for our programs in Riga Cup and Elite Training Camp in Lisbon during the winter holidays, that there are only a very few spots available. This is unique to us as an academy, but something we certainly take as a sign of recognition of the model we work by on a daily basis, says NF Academy’s International Sports Director.

A lace pass
The 2024 schedule also says there will be new tournaments and destinations for the program in both Spain and Estonia. As well as an individual program for players who want to move to Portugal to take their next step in their careers.
Before Christmas rings in and rockets skyrocket on New Year’s Eve, it’s worth noting the academy bosses’ December offer at the end of a year that has left them smiling wider than Santa Claus in their beards.
Soft packages are often boring. Hard packs can be exciting. Now you can give away something very special under the Christmas tree this year.

We have a Christmas promotion in December with an early bird discount on all our programs until 2024. A training experience is the perfect Christmas gift for children and young people who already have most of it, says Norwegian CEO Rune Bjørnødegård, who is supplemented by Sports Director Gonçalo Moura
If you book a place in one of the programs before December 31st, you also get a week’s trial training with NF Academy’s partner club in Portugal, Club de Cascais. Here you get follow-up from the physical and technical coach in addition to sessions with the team. We also offer parents tips and inspiration for conducting workouts that week,” Moura concludes.
They are both clear that it can be smart to book a place as early as possible for several reasons.
To secure games in your best position, it is clearly beneficial to be out early. In addition, it is about what time of year it is convenient to travel, and not least that hotels and flights are often the cheapest to book well in advance. Just contact us and we will find the best solutions together, says sports director Moura.
The development pyramid
He wants to bring more young, dedicated players to the academy’s offering, which is a perfect complement to training at home in his own club.
NF Acedemy works with both the entirety and the details of the game. Or as the mentology is called “Learning the game by playing it”
Our program is for players from 9 to 20 years old, and we have a clear development pyramid. It starts with the local programs, where players are mapped and evaluated for what is the next natural step. Then we recommend Team Training, where we get to work the most with the dedicated players over time.

Sporting director Ricardo Silva talks about a 2023 as the best ever, but he is clear that next year will be even better for the players in the NF Academy.
The litany of the 2024 program will be a gem of taste for what’s to come as the New Year’s rockets hit the ground. The sports director can also reveal that the summer features always popular NF International Programs all over Scandinavia.
There, a number of players are selected for the Qualification Camp in Denmark. Eight of those were picked by Sporting’s scout this year for a training stint in Lisbon. Portuguese clubs, agents and scouts follow the tournaments and programs closely. Several of our players have had a go at Portuguese clubs,” Sporting Director Ricardo Silva concluded.
